Caps and Beanies
Caps always held a special place in street wear and hip hop culture. These hip hats have their origins in the sportswear of baseball players, though no one could have expected the hype around these caps in the last few years. Meanwhile a lot of different cap models have been established which are divided into several main categories. One of the most popular is the classic snapback cap with its straight but bendable screen and an adjustable plastic strap at the back. There is even a cap without a strap called Flexfit that is made possible through the "one size fits all" technology. Snapbacks are distinct through their six triangle shaped fabric parts which together make up the whole cap. The six parts together are called a panel. Often Snapbacks are embroidered with intricate emblems, which is the case for PLAYGRND snapback caps too with a subtle 3d-Logostick.
Made with a different design the 5-panel cap perhaps had the biggest hype in the last 5 years. The name giving reduction from six to five panels give this model a special fit. Especially the skateboard and bicycle courier culture has taken to this casual style. The PLAYGRND 5-Panel Cap fits just perfectly and comes with quality leather details and a clever Velcro patch to attach your favorite patches.
More of a niche product is the third and last alternative, the mesh or trucker cap. It's special features are the mesh-like backside and a slight oversized fit.
To complete the spectrum comes the classic Beanie which already has become a fashion statement with or without a turn-up. A large space on the front gives the possibility for a fashionable statement. Often embroidered logos or trademarks can be found here. A special treat and in this regard unique thing, is the PLAYGRND Beanie. With a subtle specifically made Velcro patch on the front it can be fashionably enhanced to fit your mood with your favorite PLAYGRND designs.
